Chasing my Lost Spirit
Masterclass with Morten Hilmer
One of Europe's best known photographers and Nikon ambassador, Morten will tell us how he found again his passion for photography. For him, the art of photography means more than a perfect image of a species, it is rather the capture of a unique and intense state of mind that you experience only in the wild. Morten explores nature through a lens of adventure, fascination with the living world and curiosity about other cultures.

If you are passionate about photography, this masterclass offered in partnership with Nikon România is not to be missed.
Admission is free subject to availability.

The language of this masterclass will be English.

Our Nature
At first impression, Belgium may not seem like a country teeming with wildlife, but we shouldn't be swayed by appearances. Through advanced filming techniques, this documentary reveals the life of numerous animals that successfully live even in a country heavily populated by humans. Such a film shows that nature may surprise, regardless of the place where we let it thrive.
Admission is free with a valid reservation*.
Q&A with Dan Dinu
During the Wildlife Film Festival in Rotterdam, Dan had the opportunity to meet some of the Belgian - Dutch team who produced this film and in this Q&A session he will reveal some interesting aspects from his talks with Dick Harrewijn and Pim Niesten, two of the film directors.

Online bookings have been entirely taken for this screening, but we are waiting for you directly at the cinema where we can still offer access depending on remaining seats or cancellations.
85 min, Dutch language with Romanian subtitle
Directed by Dick Harrewijn, Pim Niesten & Maria Lise Van Lente, Belgium 2022

18:30
Cactus Hotel
What would it be like if we lived for 200 years? What would we do with this time? How would we make this long life fulfilling? A gigantic Saguaro cactus in the Sonora desert tells us his own story covering two centuries and the way his existence supported numerous other inhabitants of the area. This cactus becomes a real hotel, always ready to offer bed and breakfast, like a real all inclusive resort.
Inspired by a book he read as a child, the director Yann Sochaczewski guides us through a story written with a great deal of humour, but that also reveals the harsh life of the desert and of the species that adapted to a life in this hostile environment.
Admission is free with a valid reservation*.
Q&A with Dan Dinu
At the Green Screen Film Festival, Dan had the opportunity to talk to Yann Sochaczewski, the film's director, and Marlen Hundertmark, who filmed a significant part of the documentary, and during this session he will be able to answer your questions about the film.
Online bookings have been entirely taken for this screening, but we are waiting for you directly at the cinema where we can still offer access depending on remaining seats or cancellations.

Wild Transylvania
Beyond myths and legends, Transilvania is one of the wildest areas in our country. The documentary takes us from the meadows filled with flowers to the Carpathians heights and from the darkness of the primaeval forests to the fauna that lives inside the fortified churches. Produced for an international audience and narrated by one of the world's greatest voices - the Oscar-winning actor, Jeremy Irons, the documentary weaves together nature, history and culture to create a special blend of wild magic.
Admission is free with a valid reservation*.

Q&A with John Murray
John, the producer and director of this film, returns to our festival for a second year to tell us about the challenges to film in the wilderness of Romania and about how the story of this documentary, which he has had in mind for more than 10 years, started.
